I'm still saddened about the news of this old lady who has recently passed away.

Heard it first hand from my cousin and wondered if it really was the same old lady who I saw almost every morning, pushing her trolley from mabohai to tamu and back. It never failed to question myself, "why is this old lady, who should be enjoying her later life, is pulling a trolley which look nearly as heavy as herself everyday?"
When i first saw her at tamu, I pointed and asked grandma, "who is this old lady walking slow and steady, pulling a trolley loaded with vegetables?" She told me that this lady buys the vegetables from tamu every morning and sells them on the road side. Grandma then told me about two years ago, dad wanted to help her and has asked his hainanese friends (she's a hainanese) to go to her house and advice her that she is entitled to receive a $250 pension from the government.
But unfortunately, the old lady refused and said that she's scared. Dad said she suffers a bit of mental illness because of her unfilial son, which i heard took her money and she has a daughter living in kb. Story will never be known to us as why she is living her life the way we saw. I think they paid her a visit couple of times but she still refused to give her i.c for application to process and they finally gave in. So as we know this old lady is not poor, but she denied her entitlement yet still continues her daily activities.
you're right. she has clearly shown me perseverance. but it's really sad that it has to end this way. Hope she's in a better place right now,

It's JULY!!!!!!!!

my heart is skipping a beat.
Just got off from work half past midnight - my longest ever working hours standing at a record of 15+hrs. crunch time.. half of them are still working in the office till the wee hours. Its a battlefield with papers flying around (no kidding!) and coffeebean cups. more coffees but the effect wears out on me after a while. guess i've immune to caffeine. I need some form of drugs now :p
Cracks of the day:
HM was busy arranging the docs to be signed off by the partner today.
Instead of writing "SS pls sign" on each post it note,
in great haste without realizing she wrote "SS pls RESIGN",
Right infront of him.

someone's gonna get a salary reduction this yr. lol..
ok. i'm officially drained.... cant think nemore..

Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now ~ unknown
Jo asked, "why wud u wanna audit life? audit company not enuff ah?"
lol.
I think i should start to audit my life - it's empty streets and i'm feeling disappointed. Upon saying that, i can imagine the manager telling me, "There is NO I 'think' but I 'will' or I 'can'". hahaha. tough job sometimes. I'm still learning to stand firm to what i believe and be more affirmative on my actions. Can't life be any easier on me?
A week long training has officially ended. It was pretty intense and i must say, it never felt better to be back in a class and i enjoyed every bits of it. Is that exactly what i miss or going back to study is a feasible idea? I'm definitely far fetched from being a geek but, that thought is starting to come back.. on a side note, the brother is busy moving out of vulture street this week. He has started selling off all our furniture and donating my clothes away to salvation army (!!!) I guess tina can keep my roulette game till god knows when. maybe for another 2 yrs lah. lol.
Workplace was a battlefield today.... and will be for another 2 days. Everyone is rushing off the files to be courier out. Bimbo can't get any luckier than this, the job he's involved in was called up for quality assessment. God is fair afterall. he knows that i've been good thus, he didn't picked me on my job :X I'll be out to employees provident fund for a mth and back on my running regime :D
